Who we are
Southside Dental Toowoomba is a family-owned dental practice at Shop 17, 445-455 Hume Street, Kearneys Spring QLD 4350. We are committed to handling personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What this website collects
You can browse this website without creating an account or filling in forms. We do not ask for health information through this website. If you contact us by phone, SMS, email or WhatsApp, we receive the details you choose to share with us and use them to respond to your enquiry.
Online bookings are handled by our practice management provider, Principle, on their own secure platform. Any information you enter when booking is collected by Principle on our behalf and handled under their privacy practices as well as ours.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, a small piece of code that uses cookies to help us understand how people find and use our site — for example, whether someone who saw one of our Facebook or Instagram ads visited the site or clicked our Book Online button. The information involved is statistical in nature; we do not use it to identify individual visitors, and no health information is ever included.
You can control this kind of tracking in a few ways: adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook settings, use your browser's settings to block or delete cookies, or browse in private mode. The website works normally with cookies blocked.
Third-party services
This site is hosted on Google Firebase, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) for security and reliability. Video content is embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and only loads if you choose to play it. Links to our Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy policies.
Your clinical records
Records about your dental care are managed within the practice under separate, stricter processes, as required by law and by our professional obligations. They are never collected through, or shared with, this website or its analytics tools.
Access, corrections and complaints
You are welcome to ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or raise a concern about how it has been handled.
